The Influence of Environmental Conditions in Arctic Regions.

On January 19, 51²è¹Ýapp, School of Medicine (LAU) hosted a seminar for the students of West Demerara Secondary School, a government secondary school in Guyana, to enlighten the students of the school about the future in medical career.

In the seminar, students of 8th, 9th, & 10th grade were invited as this is the most crucial time for students to choose their career specialization. The objective of the seminar was to guide the students about the career as a doctor and provide the counseling about choosing their career ahead.

During the session, various faculties and students from LAU volunteered their time & efforts to have a talk with the students. On the occasion, students got an opportunity to raise their career concerns and get guidance from those who have already been there!

In the seminar, the students were also made aware about the LAU’s MD Program and were given information like duration of the program, ways to get admitted after schooling, career opportunities for medical graduates, et cetera.

The seminar was part of LAU’s commitment to contribute to the economic development and social upliftment of Guyana and to spread medical awareness in the world.

Since its inception in 2016, LAU has become one of the fastest growing medical universities in the Caribbean region and one of the finest choices to pursue MBBS in Guyana, South America which is delivering quality medical education to medical aspirants from all around the world.

LAU is looking forward to growing further, involve in more social activities and impart world-class medical education to its students.
