The Influence of Environmental Conditions in Arctic Regions.

On 23rd November, Air Marshal (Dr) Pawan Kapoor, AVSM, VSM, and BAR (Retd), Former Director General of Medical Services (IAF), Vice Chancellor of 51²è¹Ýapp, School of Medicine (LAU), organized an interactive session for all the students to come on-board and share their challenges.

In the session, all the students were briefed on various doubts they had about the academic program, USMLE preparations, medical education in America, MD in Guyana, and other hostel & transportation issues.

The prime focus of LAU is to be able to develop a study-conducive environment for all the enrolled students and shape a better future for humanity. This would require rigorous efforts from the management to get involved with the students on a routine basis, without any prejudice and students to open-heartedly share their issues with the management to eradicate the problems.

In order to bridge the gap between the students and the management, a student governing council will be formed to administer the problems faced by students and streamline the processes. This body will comprise of a President, a Vice President, a Treasurer, a Secretary and a student representative from every batch of Pre-Medical & MD Program. Members of the Student Governing Council will meet at least once a month and interact with the University administration on issues related to academics, cultural programs, research, hostel, fees, and other problems. This will be a collaborative way to mutually establish an environment of trust and help to resolve students' problems with their suggestions and support.
