As of the recent, the pinnacle of management of the university, including the President, Dr S.K. Washim, Vice Chancellor, Air Marshal Dr Pawan Kapoor, Dean, Dr Dinesh Singla and Admission & Examination Registrar, Mr Arun Katayal, met with the High Commissions of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana and the Republics of Fiji, Mauritius, Trinidad and Tobago and the Embassy of the Republic of Suriname in New Delhi, India.
The gathering was organised to cordially celebrate the auspicious occasion of Diwali. The celebration further strengthened the relations between the university and other Caribbean countries. This promises even further elaboration of the university in the Caribbean region, thereby providing even more learning opportunities to the students wanting to study in the top medical university of the Caribbean region.
Earlier the past week, the Honourable High Commissioner of Guyana, H.E. Charrandass Persaud, along with his associates visited the Delhi Administrative Office of the University where he interacted with the university’s leadership and staff. The affable meet and greet were accompanied by a series of discussions for the betterment of LAU students.
A few weeks earlier, His Excellency, had met with the Air Marshal Dr Pawan Kapoor (Vice-Chancellor, LAU) and Dr Dinesh Singla (Dean, LAU) in his office, where he took a significant decision of permitting 3-year validity of the visa for the students studying in Guyana.
